Currently working as the manager for Dutch football, Ruud Gullit is better recognized as a versatile football player of 1980s and 90s. This Amsterdam-born footballer played at various field positions, including forward, midfielder and defender. Although retired at this stage, he is still loved by his followers who learn from his game. Under his captaincy, the Netherlands national team won the Euro 88. He was also playing wonderfully for the team when it won the 1990 World Cup. His achievements as a footballer made him 1987’s European Footballer of the Year. Ruud Gullit also twice achieved the title of the World Soccer Player of the Year.
